Final day on the east coast

You can always have a good time when Mary is floatin around.

And yes, Matt and I did stay in Philly for the sole purpose of eatin as many cheesesteaks as possible. I think it was a success.

Oh, and we found Rocky hidden in the corner. The pope said mass like 100ft from The Rocky statue. I think the statue now qualifies as a holy site for pilgrimage.

A day at the beach

Last night's sunset from the jersey shore.

I hope they realized the liability they accepted when they let Fr. Wallace captain the boat today.

Hopefully they don't forget Red. We have a plane to catch in a few hours.

Our view of the main stage.

And this is our view of pope Francis.

Andrea Bocelli

Once again, who invited The Fray when we have Andrea Bocelli?

Who invited The Fray?

Habemus papam!

More reunions.

Bishop Conley paid us a visit by our section.

More pictures of people taking pictures of us.

Look at all the friends we are making!

Yeah, that's Matt Maher!

Oh, and Steve Angrisano! He is officially famous because when I search his name and spell it wrong, google asks, "did you mean Steve Angrisano?"

Shout out to him and his wife. It was a joy to meet them today.

Tommy can sleep anywhere.

If you thought it was impossible to fall asleep wearing a jacket in the hot sun, I am here to say it is possible . Congrats Tommy.

Thanks for the upgraded seats!

Killin time before the event starts. T minus like 4 hours.

In other news, Matt found his new rehab center.

Reunions in Philly

At mass this morning with Archbishop Aquilla, we saw many of our fellow Coloradans, including The Reverend Joe Doman.

Father Wallace reunites with an old friend praying outside planned parenthood.

You know it is the World Meeting of Fanilies when you reunite with your sister in the middle of Philly.

And after a conversation with a priest who was hanging out of his 4th floor window at the old  St. Joseph's, we finally found our brother seminarians from Montana. Turns out they were praying in the chapel the floor below him. Funny how God brings brothers together.

Friday afternoon in Philly round 3

Venerating the bones of St. Maria Goretti!

Ned outside Liberty Hall. Because it's not a trip to Philly until you have seen all the historic landmarks.

Another "historic" landmark.

And yes, more cheesesteaks. "Wit cheese!"

Friday afternoon in Philly round 2

Sjv seminarians participating with locals in the 40 days for life.

Friday afternoon in Philly

It was a joy to be able to volunteer at the Youth Congress for the World Meeting of Families. We were able to participate in "Basketball with Seminarians" and have some fun. In addition it was a joy to receive a taste of the World Meeting. The Church Universal was truly present with laity, religious, priests and bishops from all over the world.

While some were volunteering and helping form the youth, others were eating cheesesteaks with Jason Everett!

Oh and what is better than venerating a 1st class relic of St. JPII after consuming a delicious Philly cheesesteak.

Praying for the unborn.

We have gathered outside the Planned Parenthood in Philly to pray for the restoration of the family. We are united in Denver, united in Philly, all things united in Christ.

Pizza for breakfast!!!

While Walking down the streets of Philly after
mass, we decided to look for breakfast. The only problem was that the whole street was out of power. The good news is when you walk around in clerics, everyone wants you to come into their restaurant, power or no power. We found this group of Italians outside their pizza joint, and of course father starts heckling them in Italian. Turned out to be the best breakfast ever. We were even credited with restoring the power! Long live the pope.
